Pineapples are one of the tangiest and sweetest multifruit bearing bromeliads (a multifruit is when many flowers press together to form a single fruit). They can be easily propagated in about any type of situation that you can think of.
They love growing in pots and tubs because they have short root systems, and will survive off of little to nothing and will generally be very easy to take care of. It is normally really hard to kill a pineapple. However, under certain circumstances, it may get very ill and possibly rot away. Even then, you can grow a pineapple in various different ways!
